Halloween Class Party, Dance & Pumpkin Patch
Students will dance with a DJ , parade their costumes, walk over to the pumpkin patch and receive a bag with a craft that they can do in their classrooms or at home.

Fall Picture Day
Order forms will be placed in your student’s take-home folder. Additional paper forms may be found on the main floor at the information desk and in the main office.
Please note the following:
Individual photos will be taken of children who bring a completed form and full payment.
All students will be photographed in a class photo, which may be purchased with a package.
If you would like to purchase a photo package of your child, please fill out the order form and send in payment on picture day, October 15th.

Outdoor Movie Night

Admission is FREE for PS 185 Families!
Bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs to Shore Road. The park gathering starts at 6:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 7 p.m.
Movie night snack boxes must be purchased by 9/16! Presale only. You can purchase them online. Snack boxes will NOT be sold at the event. They will be distributed at the event on 9/19.
🍿 Boxes include popcorn, assorted candy, juicebox, and glowsticks!
Kindergarten MEET UP (Narrows Botanical Garden)
The PS 185 PTA hosts a Kindergarten Meet Up at the Narrows Botanical Gardens (Shore Rd and 71st St).
This event will be PICNIC STYLE!!!
Bring blankets, chairs, and snacks. Children will be making friendship bracelets and playing yard games.

PTA End of Year Party!
The PTA is hosting a special End-of-School Year party for all students. Students will celebrate together with music as we wrap up the school year. It’s a cheerful send-off to summer.

PS 185 Year-End Family Fun Night
Join the party - we will have a DJ, a magic show, sports, and other games. We look forward to a lovely evening of family and fun together. Open to all 185 students and their families.
Brooklyn Cyclones (School Spirit Night)
$15 per ticket. Payment is due May 27. CLOSED.
Students received a paper form in their boomerang folder. Families can also download a soft copy below. Please fill out, tear off, and return the order form to PTA c/o Main Office. Tickets will be received 7-10 days before the game date.

PS 185 will celebrate the various backgrounds of our families with a Cultural Street Fair. Parent- and student-led interactive “booths” will showcase their families’ cultural origins.

Please note the following:
Spring pictures are generally more casual than the fall’s, so regular school day clothes, sport jerseys, etc. are fine if you so choose.
Individual photos will be taken of children who bring a completed form and full payment. There is no make-up day for Spring Photos.
No class pictures will be taken.
Extra order forms are available in the Main Office.

Read-A-Thon
At PTA PS 185, our priority is to make sure that our students have the tools they need to learn and grow. We can't do that without your support. This year we are hoping for 100% participation from our families.

It only takes a minute or two, and your support will greatly assist us in meeting our goals. The main goal is to get children to read as much as they can during this period, while parents help them log the minutes read on the child's individual Read-A-Thon page. Additionally, we are hoping that families and friends will donate to support our readers and raise funds for student activities for next school year.
You should have received a Remind notice with instructions for parents to set up the child's page for logging in minutes and supporting our fundraiser.
Please note individual reading during the school day as well as at home can be used towards the Read-A-Thon minutes.
