My name is Catherine Crabtree and I’m so excited to be your PTA Co-President alongside Jilian Levinson!

Since our first year at PS 185 I have become an active member of the PTA - chairing the Family Fun Committee and organizing permits for all of our school events. I’ve been a class parent for the past three years and you may recognize me from volunteering at events like the Book Fair, Plant Sale and Cultural Fair. I love volunteering at PS 185 because the community of parents and staff is beyond compare. I am passionate about making PS 185 the best it can be for all of our children — and with such great support we have been able to accomplish so much. I’m excited to see what else we can do in the coming years!

Professionally, I’m a costume designer for a network television show. I have worked in the film and television industry for 15 years which has led me to be a big advocate for the arts (especially in early education).

My hope for PS 185 is to continue to support rigorous education through strong communication between families, teachers and staff. I am so proud of the work the PTA has done so far, and I am excited to expand and help our school community grow even more!
